Thank you to Studio Magazine for publishing my two clay-related poems, “Pica” and “Reclaim”, in their most recent issue. It’s a thrill to be featured in the magazine alongside a whole host of ceramics content and artists. Check out the issue here.

And! I will also be issuing a special edition of “Pica”, typeset on hand-made paper, as part of a collaboration with Flycatcher Press. Come to the Fusion Show at Wychwood Barns (November 19-20, 2022) and take one home!

SQUARED CIRCLE CERAMICS

Andrea Charise (she/her) is an artist-researcher working in ceramics, narrative, and digital media. A recent graduate of Fleming College’s Ceramics Certificate Program, Charise received the Haliburton School of Art + Design’s 2022 Ceramics Award. She now produces functional and sculptural ceramic ware as SQUARED CIRCLE CERAMICS, and is Biophilium Artist-in-Residence at the Ayatana Artists’ Research Program (Fall 2022). Her work has been featured in group exhibitions in Canada, Belgium, and online.
